SALARY RANGE:  $45,000 to $65,000

FLSA: Exempt

LOCATION: Nationwide (Atlanta or Charlotte preferred)

TRAINING COORDINATOR

The Training Coordinator ("TC") provides operational and administrative support for NACA's Training & Development Department. The TC coordinates training logistics, maintains training records and learning systems, supports new hire onboarding, prepares training materials, assists instructors during classroom and virtual training, and ensures training programs are delivered efficiently and consistently.

The TC works closely with the Training Director, Training Specialists, Training Instructors, Human Resources, and external training partners to support employee development and maintain accurate training records and reporting. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The TC supports continuous improvement of training programs and departmental processes through accurate reporting, organization, and collaboration.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Coordination

  • Coordinate internal and external training schedules, registrations, classrooms, and logistics. 
  • Prepare training materials, manuals, workbooks, course agendas, and welcome communications. 
  • Coordinate onboarding schedules for new employees. 
  • Support instructors during classroom, virtual, and hybrid training sessions. 
  • Coordinate travel, facilities, equipment, and event logistics for training activities.

Training Administration

  • Maintain training records, certifications, attendance, assessments, and learner documentation. 
  • Maintain LMS enrollments, course catalogs, learner records, and reporting. 
  • Process registrations, enrollment changes, and training completion records. 
  • Audit training databases to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Generate reports on training participation, certifications, and compliance.

Program Support

  • Assist with curriculum updates and preparation of instructional materials. 
  • Support instructional design projects as assigned. 
  • Gather trainee feedback and assist with training evaluations. 
  • Research training resources, technologies, and best practices. 
  • Promote out-of-network training opportunities.

Administrative Support

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation. 
  • Coordinate meetings and communications. 
  • Conduct internet research and special projects. 
  • Support department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational ability, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills while effectively supporting multiple training initiatives simultaneously. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems or similar databases.
  • Experience supporting training, onboarding, HR, or learning programs preferred.
  • Mortgage, housing counseling, financial services, or nonprofit experience preferred.

A. EDUCATION:

  • B.A. or B.S. – Preferred
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent – Required
  • Completion of NACA’s training with a high passing score – Within three months of employment
  • Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator – Highly Preferred
  • HUD Certified - Highly Preferred; otherwise, within three months of employment.
  • Real estate courses – Highly Preferred

B. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Two or more years supporting training, learning & development, human resources, education, or administrative operations. 
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, training programs, or onboarding preferred. 
  • Experience maintaining databases, reports, or LMS platforms preferred. 
  • Mortgage, housing counseling, financial services, or nonprofit experience preferred.

C. LICENSES:

  1. Mortgage Loan Origination license(s) in assigned state
  2. HUD Certified

TIME DEMANDS:

Must be able to meet the demands of the job that consists of 55+ hours a week as an exempt employee: 

  • Support department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Typical day: Day Shift: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Work weekends during training sessions, events, and other activities
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Other time as needed

COMPENSATION:

Salary ranges from $45,000 to $65,000 based on experience, skills, and other factors. The TC’s performance evaluation and future compensation are based on meeting the above and other additional requirements.

Advocacy & Economic Justice

NACA is an advocacy organization dedicated to economic justice. NACA staff are required to adhere to and participate in NACA’s advocacy efforts. This includes:

  • Community Organizing: Actively participating in campaigns to protect homeowners and expand affordable lending.
  • Event Participation: Joining NACA’s "Achieve the Dream" events and other advocacy actions, which may require travel and weekend/evening commitments.
