Description The Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) is seeking a motivated, experienced, andservice-driven professional to serve as the Fire-EMS Training Coordinator. This includes developing and delivering certification and continuingeducation programs, managing training records, conducting classroom and fieldinstruction, coordinating special programs, and responding to emergency incidents as afirefighter.This position is considered part of CCFD's critical workforce and may serve as theResource Unit Leader during activations of the department's Incident Management Team orduring disaster operations. Examples of Duties • Plan, coordinate, and conduct fire and EMS training programs that align withdepartment goals and state and national standards.• Deliver initial and continuing education instruction for all levels of personnel.• Maintain training and certification records, including entry into the department'selectronic records management system.• Evaluate personnel performance and competencies to ensure compliance withtraining standards.• Assist with the maintenance and readiness of all training equipment, facilities, andprops.• Attend training conferences and courses to stay current with modern firefighting andEMS practices.• Support health, safety, and wellness initiatives promoting a "Everyone Goes Home"culture.• Respond to emergency incidents as a firefighter and provide medical care asrequired.• Serve as a subject matter expert for fire and EMS education and assist withcurriculum development.• Support department-wide initiatives related to professional development,leadership training, and safety.
