JOB SUMMARY The Market Training Coordinator supports ERCOT's Market Training organization by coordinating training activities, maintaining training schedules, administering learning management system (LMS) functions, and assisting with the review of market rule changes that impact training materials. This position serves as a key point of contact for market participants regarding training offerings and registration and helps ensure training information, materials, and communications remain accurate and current. JOB DUTIES Level 2 Independently coordinate and maintain Market Training schedules, calendars, and course offerings, managing multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills. Coordinate classroom, virtual, and instructor logistics from end to end, ensuring smooth delivery of training events. Prepare and distribute training communications to market participants, applying clear and professional written and verbal communication. Administer LMS functions — including course setup, enrollment management, attendance tracking, and completion reporting — with accuracy and ownership. Maintain training records, documentation, and standard operating procedures in compliance with ERCOT policies and confidentiality requirements. Serve as a reliable point of contact for market participant training inquiries and registration, resolving issues independently and escalating complex matters as needed. Maintain training websites and course catalogs to ensure accuracy and timeliness, using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and content management tools. Monitor proposed and approved market rule changes, apply analytical skills to identify impacts to training materials, and coordinate corresponding content updates. Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to keep training content current and aligned with ERCOT market operations and protocols. Generate reports and metrics on training participation, completions, and program effectiveness to inform decision-making. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training processes, systems, and participant experience. Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline processes, and enhance training quality. EXPERIENCE Level 2: Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements Prefer Learning Management System (LMS) administration or support Prefer Training coordination and scheduling Prefer Content management systems and website maintenance Prefer Customer service and stakeholder support Prefer Microsoft Office Suite applications Prefer Knowledge of market rules, regulatory processes, or change management practices is a plus Prefer familiarity with generative AI tools and emerging learning technologies used for content development, knowledge management, process automation, or training delivery WORK LOCATION: Taylor, TX hybrid 2 days per week. Expected Salary Range: $67,000 - $92,000 The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) manages the flow of electric power to 27 million Texas customers - representing about 90 percent of the state's electric load. As the independent system operator for the region, ERCOT schedules power on an electric grid that connects more than 54,100 miles of transmission lines and 1,250 generating units. Eligible candidates should be enrolled in an academic bachelors or post graduate degree program maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The ERCOT Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a 12- to 16-month, self-paced program geared toward entry-level engineers looking to start a career in the power industry. Through the program, an EDP Engineer receives one-on-one mentoring, specialized training, and exposure to the work performed by each of the engineering groups at ERCOT. The program allows engineers to develop the fundamental skills necessary to reach their full potential while gaining an understanding of the types of engineering work ERCOT has to offer. EDP management supports participants each step of the way as they progress through the program. Upon completion, graduates are placed as full-time engineers within one of ERCOT’s engineering groups. The GMS Development Program (GDP) is designed to provide entry-level and early career professionals with the skills necessary to become successful Power System and Computer Engineers. The program, which is based in ERCOT’s Grid and Market Solutions (GMS) Department, will provide experience in day-to-day work and instruction in the fundamentals of electric power systems engineering, grid and market applications, software programming, and IT service and operations management. The GDP offers one-on-one mentoring, training, field trips, and special assignments. These assignments allow GDP engineers to become knowledgeable and familiar with the various business areas at ERCOT. The GMS leadership team prepares GDP engineers for a future career at ERCOT in power systems and computer engineering. The System Operator Development Program (ODP) is intended to combine real-time daily operations in an exciting work setting to prepare participants with the vital skills necessary to be successful in such a critical position — providing 24x7x365 on-demand support to manage the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers. If you are new to the industry, this program introduces you to the Bulk Electric System by combining introductory courses with the NERC Certification Exam Preparation Program in preparation to pass the NERC Certification Exam.
