We are seeking a highly organized, engaging, and mission-driven Training Coordinator to lead and strengthen agency-wide training initiatives that support workforce development, compliance, and excellence in service delivery.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, coordinating moving pieces, building relationships, and helping others grow through meaningful learning experiences.


Position Summary


The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and continuously improving all agency-wide training initiatives related to domestic violence services and workforce development. This role ensures staff, interns, volunteers, and external participants receive high-quality, trauma-informed, and compliant training that meets state, funder, and licensing requirements.


The Training Coordinator oversees core training programs including the 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training, 20/20 Training, Continuing Education Unit (CEU) trainings, in-service trainings, and onboarding-related training initiatives. This position also serves as the primary administrator and owner of the CypherWorx learning management system (LMS), ensuring accurate training records, reporting, compliance tracking, and user management across the organization.


The Training Coordinator reports to the HR Director and collaborates closely with leadership, Certified Domestic Violence Professionals (CDVPs), program teams, and external training partners.


Key Responsibilities


Training Planning & Workforce Development


  •  Identify and assess agency-wide training needs in collaboration with leadership, supervisors, HR, and Certified Domestic Violence Professionals (CDVPs). 
  •  Develop and maintain annual and ongoing training plans aligned with compliance requirements, workforce development goals, and organizational priorities. 
  •  Implement engaging and trauma-informed learning approaches that support employee effectiveness, consistency, and skill development. 
  •  Evaluate training effectiveness using participant feedback, completion data, and supervisor input. 
  •  Adapt training strategies based on emerging organizational, compliance, or workforce needs. 
Core Training Coordination


  •  Coordinate and manage agency training programs, including: 
    •  40-Hour Domestic Violence Training 
    •  20/20 Training 
    •  In-Service Trainings 
    •  CEU Trainings 
    •  Leadership Academy 
    •  New Hire, Volunteer, and Intern Orientation 
  •  Coordinate scheduling, registration, attendance tracking, materials, evaluations, certificates, and training logistics. 
  •  Serve as the primary liaison with external training partners, including Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence and The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence. 
  •  Ensure all required training components are completed and documented prior to employee, volunteer, or intern clearance as applicable. 
  •  Maintain and communicate a comprehensive annual training calendar. 
Learning Management System Administration


  •  Serve as the primary administrator and owner of the CypherWorx LMS. 
  •  Onboard new staff into the platform and maintain user accounts and training assignments. 
  •  Track registrations, training completion, compliance requirements, and participation data. 
  •  Generate reports, issue certificates, troubleshoot user access issues, and ensure data accuracy and integrity across the platform. 
  •  Maintain organized and audit-ready training records and documentation. 
Revenue-Generating Trainings & CEU Programs


  •  Coordinate all revenue-generating training programs and external training opportunities. 
  •  Manage participant registration, fee collection tracking, attendance verification, evaluations, and certificate issuance. 
  •  Collaborate with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to support pricing strategies, revenue tracking, and reporting. 
  •  Coordinate training-related logistics, including budgeting for and ordering meals, refreshments, supplies, materials, and event needs. 
  •  Support the development and expansion of CEU-eligible training offerings for external participants. 
Collaboration & Organizational Support


  •  Facilitate collaboration with internal CDVPs and training facilitators to support consistent, high-quality training delivery. 
  •  Coordinate schedules, curriculum alignment, training materials, and facilitator communication. 
  •  Maintain accurate training and onboarding records for staff, volunteers, interns, and external participants. 
  •  Prepare documentation for audits, monitoring visits, accreditation reviews, and internal reporting. 
  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for training-related questions and support. 
Qualifications


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Services, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 
  •  2-3 years of experience coordinating training programs, workforce development initiatives, onboarding, or adult learning programs. 
  • 1-3 years of DV experience preferred.
  •  Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  •  Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) required; experience with CypherWorx preferred. 
  •  Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 
  •  Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. 
  •  Experience in nonprofit, human services, domestic violence, behavioral health, or related environments preferred.
