Training & Development Specialist

Job Summary
We're seeking a motivated Training & Development Specialist to design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for employees across departments — including production, sales, customer service, and administrative teams. This role will help new hires ramp up quickly and ensure existing staff stay up to date on processes, equipment, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop training materials, manuals, and onboarding programs for new employees
• Deliver in-person and/or virtual training sessions on company processes, equipment use, safety procedures, and customer service standards
• Collaborate with department leads to identify training needs and skill gaps
• Create engaging instructional content (guides, videos, presentations, quizzes) tailored to different learning styles
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
• Maintain and update a training library/knowledge base as processes and equipment evolve
• Support ongoing professional development initiatives for staff
• Track training completion and compliance across the team
• Continuously refine training programs based on employee feedback and business needs

Requirements

• Proven experience as a corporate trainer, instructional designer, or in a similar training/L&D role
• Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate technical or process-heavy information into clear, engaging training content
• Experience with instructional design tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Articulate, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, sales, and admin teams
