Position Overview
The District Training & Development Specialist will be responsible for support all District Wide development and training in a variety of modalities and spaces. Using the District Development Plan, they will drive creation of content and development initiatives within their respective courses.
District Overview
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.
Location
This position is based out of Lenexa, KS and Require 50% travel, 75% at peak. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Power Development Sponsor & Market HR Business Partners to execute the Training Plan outlined on the District Business Plan
Use data-driven analysis to identify training gaps and areas of improvement
Act as a consultant during business planning to incorporate solutions to identified training gaps
Partner with corporate Talent Development to execute established staff and craft training programs in the districts
Responsible for coordination and continuous improvement of the Power Experienced Core Course Porfolio and corresponding development programs:
Project Engineer Training
Superintendent Training
Senior Operations Training
Responsible for assisting in the development of the District Development Plan
Hold projects accountable to rotations program, training plans and People Wall management
Travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate on-site training
