Purpose of Position- Develops and maintains multi-media training materials for new and existing Case Management or Early Intervention staff. Delivers training to groups and individuals in a variety of settings and using a variety of methods.  Tracks and maintains training documentation in compliance with A&I Avenues and State policies and rules.  Communicates with supervisors regarding staff training goals and needs, and other pertinent issues.  Represents A&I Avenues in a professional, appropriate manner.   

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Plans organizes and effectively conducts employee training on various skills, policy, and compliance areas.
  • Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed training programs; suggests and implements suitable changes.
  • Designs, drafts, and/or acquires new training materials.
  • Collaborates with outside consultants and agencies for training content and guidance.
  • Administers, scores, and logs results of qualification, learning assessment, and retention tests; arranges retraining or other appropriate action for insufficient scores.
  • Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed equipment and rooms, scheduling with attendees and presenters, preparing and distributing training aids and information, and performing other related tasks.
  • Monitors and maintains training documentation to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and A&I Avenues policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and supervisors regarding pertinent issues.  Consults with managers to create efficiencies and improve work procedures.

  • Provides case caseload coverage when needed.
  • Supports and facilitates various department projects, as requested by leadership
  • Monitors and re-evaluates training procedures and implementation on a regular basis.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and gives feedback to leadership regarding the speed in which a new employee receives a full caseload.
  • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet.

 Job Qualifications 

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.  
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self. 
  • Ability to work effectively with various technologies including word processing software, internet-based databases, etc.  
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.  
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.  
  • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver. 
  • Ability to provide effective training to individuals and groups.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Knowledgeable of and skilled in training gap analysis.
  • Knowledgeable of and skilled in training assessment methods.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Ability and willingness to learn additional software and technology skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.

Training/Education: 

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Behavioral Science or related field of study highly preferred

OR

  • Four years’ experience working in long term services and supports

OR

  • Four years’ combination of relevant education and experience in long term services and supports.

Experience: 

  • At least two years of experience in related field highly preferred.
  • One year experience employed with company preferred.
