The Opportunity
This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN location supporting our Electrophysiology Medical Device group. As a member of the DL training team, you will facilitate training for direct labor trainers, as well as lead structured on-the-job (SOJT) training initiatives with the production training team. Responsibilities of this role include coordination of training schedules, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of onboarding and training within the direct labor, operations team. Ensuring compliance to all Abbott safety, quality, and operations processes.
What You'll Work On:
Coordinate and support Direct Labor Trainers (DLT) for manufacturing direct labor training process and initiatives
Assess and revise training program content as required, including developing instructional techniques and formats such as team exercises, training aids, training simulations, group discussions, and lecture.
Assess, develop, and implement structured on-the-job training solutions.
Audit trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Maintain employee training records through electronic system.
Work with Abbott systems for provisioning of new hires.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and feedback from managers and supervisors.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Work in both an office and classroom environment.
Regular presence in production areas (75% - 80%) around production equipment and materials that may require safety training and the use of personal protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
2-4 years of training-related experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, including written and presentation skills.
Computer proficient, with proven capabilities using Microsoft office, Learning Management Systems, and Databases.
Strong knowledge of Adult Learning Principles.
Able to analyze data and recommend solutions.
Understanding of working in a regulated industry.
Organized, able to prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The base pay for this position is
$23.55 – $47.15/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
