Training Support Administrator

22,5 hours per week (part time)

We are recruiting to the part time (22.5 hours), permanent position of Training Support Administrator at the Training & Development Centre within Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service. Our primary focus is to ensure that Operational and Non-Operational staff across the service access the required training to carry out their roles to the highest standard and keep the Communities of Warwickshire safe.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised Administrator with a keen eye for detail to join our team in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the department.

This is a varied and interesting role involving all aspects of admin support, with a focus on managing course bookings using the management information system. You will need a good level of computer skills and experience of using data base systems and Excel spreadsheets.

As this is a busy role, you will need to have a flexible and proactive can-do approach, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands to meet deadlines. You should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as on your own, using your initiative to resolve issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role, as you will be greeting visitors and delegates to the training centre alongside liaising with the wider service at all levels.

  • To be able to communicate, in person and/or in writing, a variety of information to a range of people
  • The ability to work under pressure including meeting deadlines and dealing with interruptions
  • The ability to cope in situations where there is an emotional demand arising from the work being undertaken
