Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for managing and aiding the improvement of all training materials which the Learning & Development department is responsible for. They are responsible for the training of new hires, coordination of skills training, and Annual Training of all employees.
Job Description
* Facilitates on-the-job safety and job specific training for new team members during onboarding process.
* Coordinates training of skilled positions and maintains training progress and completion records.
* Supports the training and validation of safety programs and procedures, including but not limited to LOTO, Forklift, Confined Space, ladders, annual safety training.
* Continuous improvement of training material and processes to provide effective and efficient training to all positions.
* Develops training material. Ensures training and validation material are current with plant procedures and operations.
* Collaborates with Early Management and Vertical Start-Up teams to help to develop training material before projects are installed.
* Responsible for the completion of Annual Training for all employees. Coordinates with departments to ensure necessary resources are provided to achieve completion.
* Communicates with work groups and leads on status of trainees, develops work plans based on training progress for shifts and positions. Assists in building corrective action plans if trainees are deficient.
* Actively participates in Continuous Improvement team and/or Pillar Team activities.
* Actively involved in plant safety programs and initiatives.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* College degree preferred.
Skills and Experience:
* 1-2 years of training experience preferred.
* 1-2 years of plant manufacturing experience preferred.
* Excellent computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
Physical Environment/Demands:
* Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
* May sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
* May use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
* Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
* Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature when in plant processing areas.
