Legal Assistant (Healthcare Practice / Transactional Support)
Location: Westwood (Los Angeles, CA)
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a law firm, seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a Healthcare Practice Group. This role primarily supports attorneys handling corporate transactional and regulatory healthcare matters, with occasional litigation support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys within the healthcare practice
  • Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, agreements, and correspondence
  • Support client intake, including preparing materials, opening matters, and coordinating conflicts checks
  • Maintain accurate client and matter records within the firm's systems
  • Coordinate document execution, including DocuSign and follow-up with clients and attorneys
  • Assist with calendaring, time entry, billing review, and expense tracking
  • Perform data entry and maintain records in document management systems
  • Provide general administrative support, including mailings and document production
  • Assist with litigation support tasks as needed, including document preparation and filing
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience
  • Strong document formatting, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience supporting transactional, corporate, healthcare, or regulatory attorneys preferred
  • Litigation support experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
