SUMMARY:  
Lead in assembly and encapsulation of all transducers in product line including single beam, multi-beam, altimeter and special application transducers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transducer Assembly
  • Electro-mechanical assembly of transducer components and subassemblies using a variety of fixtures, hand tools, hardware, epoxies and urethanes with emphasis on precision layout of transducer elements and components in staves and arrays.
  • Final assembly of sonar transducers including cable preparation, wiring, soldering, cable dressing and urethane encapsulation.
  • In-process and final transducer testing and pressure testing.
  • Support Engineering prototype fabrication.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Perform assignments in a timely manner following schedules and procedures.
  • Contribute to documentation, process and product improvements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
  • Provide general mechanical assembly support, other duties and assignments.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Detail oriented person must have meticulous workmanship and organizational skills.
  • Solid electro-mechanical assembly, wiring and soldering skills.
  • Able to read, understand and work from industry standard Manufacturing documentation as well as Engineering notes and marked-up documentation.
  • Able to occasionally lift and work with fixtures up to 50-60 pounds.
  • Proficient with general PC operation, Microsoft Word and Excel, and file management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with people at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
