Summary:
The machine operator focuses on basic operation, safety, and material handling.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Entry Level Operator:
- Loads/unloads parts into the transfer machine.
- Starts and stops machine cycles under supervision
- Performs basic visual and gauge inspections (go/no-go gauges, calipers)
- Identifies obvious defects and reports issues to Level2 and Level 3 supervisor.
- Keeps work area clean and follows safety rules.
- Documents production counts and simple quality checks.

- Technical Skills - Understands and has basic working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and functions; possess and understand basic computer entry and processing skills.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency;
- Minimal machining experience required.
- Able to understand standard work instructions and basic prints.
- Basic measurement tool knowledge (calipers micrometers-basic use only).
- Requires regular oversight.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping;
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time;
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced;
- Exposure to hazardous materials;
- Sound and noise levels are loud and distracting;
- Use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection.
Pay: 18.00/Hr
