Machine Operator

The machine operator focuses on basic operation, safety, and material handling.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Entry Level Operator:

  • Loads/unloads parts into the transfer machine.
  • Starts and stops machine cycles under supervision
  • Performs basic visual and gauge inspections (go/no-go gauges, calipers)
  • Identifies obvious defects and reports issues to Level2 and Level 3 supervisor.
  • Keeps work area clean and follows safety rules.
  • Documents production counts and simple quality checks.

· Analytical - Understands various data information; Collect and research data; Uses skills and experience to match data; understands the work flows and procedures.

· Technical Skills – Understands and has basic working knowledge of manufacturing procedures and functions; possess and understand basic computer entry and processing skills.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalency;

· Minimal machining experience required.

· Able to understand standard work instructions and basic prints.

· Basic measurement tool knowledge (calipers micrometers-basic use only).

· Requires regular oversight.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping;

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time;

· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced;

· Exposure to hazardous materials;

· Sound and noise levels are loud and distracting;

· Use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection. Pay: 18.00/Hr Hours: Monday - Friday
