General Description:
The Part-Time Transfer Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Prior Learning and supports current and prospective students with transfer planning, transfer opportunities, and transfer-related resources. The position collaborates with campus departments and partner institutions to promote seamless transfer pathways, coordinate outreach activities, and support student success and transfer goals.
Specific Functions:
- Advise current and prospective students on transfer pathways, degree planning, and institutional requirements.
- Assist students in identifying transfer opportunities that align with their academic and career goals.
- Guide students through transfer credit policies, application procedures, deadlines, and scholarship opportunities.
- Refer students to appropriate academic, financial aid, career, and student support services.
- Serve as a point of contact for four-year colleges, universities, and other educational partners.
- Coordinate visits from transfer institution representatives and facilitate information sessions
- Plan and coordinate transfer fairs, transfer days, workshops, and Instant Decision Days.
- Promote transfer-related programs through outreach efforts, social media, email campaigns, and classroom presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and transfer activities.
Required Skills, Experience, and Background:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education, student services, advising, admissions, transfer services, enrollment management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$25.
