Competitive and affordable health insurance plans including medical and dental coverage to ensure employees and their families stay healthy.\n Wellness program to support our employee's physical and mental well-being.\n Employee Assistance Program.\n Optional medical or fitness expense reimbursements.\n \n\n \n \n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\n Assist residents and commercial users with the proper disposal and recycling of materials.\n Operate and maintain equipment such as compactors, balers, and forklifts.\n Monitor incoming loads for prohibited or hazardous materials and ensure compliance with disposal regulations.\n Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the facility, including snow removal, weed-whacking, paint touch-ups, and general facility and grounds maintenance.\n Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and guiding users through facility procedures.\n Maintain accurate operational and financial records, including processing payments, selling trash stickers, and completing daily cash reconciliation.\n Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.\n \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n High school diploma or equivalent.\n Valid Maine driver's license with a clean driving record.\n Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.\n Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.\n Experience with solid waste operations, recycling practices, or transfer station operations is preferred.\n \n \n \nSkills:\n\n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n Strong organizational and time-management abilities.\n High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.\n Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).\n Ability to learn and use facility-specific software and digital record-keeping systems.\n Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.\n Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and completing records.\n Attention to detail and accuracy in completing daily logs and inspection checklists.\n \nWork Environment: \n \nThis position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and involves exposure to noise, dust, and odors associated with waste disposal.
