What You’ll Do
The Transit Planner supports FXBGO!'s transportation planning by managing projects and activities related to the Transit Strategic Plan. Key responsibilities include:
Route and Service Optimization Recommend changes to bus routes and paratransit services to improve punctuality and increase ridership, as well as analyzing service change requests and new bus stop proposals.
Compliance and Strategic Planning Assist in the development of the Transit Strategic Plan, ensuring compliance with regulations like ADA standards, and conducting research to support goals for transit-dependent and Title VI populations.
Data Collection and Analysis Gather and analyze data to support scheduling, route design, service evaluation, and planning. This includes conducting surveys, analyzing transit data, and interpreting statistics for transit planning.
Communication and Outreach Support communication strategies and outreach related to the Transit Strategic Plan. This includes preparing reports, presenting recommendations, and creating publication materials such as brochures and fact sheets.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning, urban planning or related field; experience in transit or local government preferred.
A minimum of one (1) years of experience performing responsible administrative work, and/or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge of transit operations, management practices, government, applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations affecting public transportation; principles, practices and techniques of transit or urban planning.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with ArcGIS, GIS software, and Intelligent Transit Software (ITS) preferred.
Experience with Adobe Suites
