(Electronic signatures are not accepted) Typing certificate minimum 40 net words per minute 5 minute duration issued within the last two years (On-line certificates are not accepted) Must pass the Secretarial/Clerical Examination: Exam will be administered Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 8 am in the Board Room. 1717 W. Merced Avenue West Covina, CA 91790. Please be prompt, as late arrivals will not be admitted. Must Pass Bilingual Certification Examination / Spanish - Exam date TBD Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Under the direction of assigned administrator, translate a variety of complex documents into a designated language and English to communicate effectively with students, parents, and community speaking a designated language; provides bilingual oral translation/interpretation during various meetings including certain legal meetings (e.g. IEP, SST, SARB, expulsion hearing) and perform other related duties as assigned.

Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities established for the position; must possess a secondary (i.e. high school) school diploma, or its equivalent (GED). Advanced education, such as an Associate (AA) degree, or education beyond an AA degree is highly desirable. Demonstrated bilingual/biliterate skills translating materials from English to a designated language and vice versa. Must possess of valid California Driver's License during course of employment; must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of employment. Incumbents will be required to speak, read, and write fluently in English and a designated language. Passing score on written secretarial examination, passing score on the Bilingual Certification Exam and typing certificate of net 40 words per minute.
