    • Act as Interpreter between students, parents, and school staff from diverse cultures or backgrounds in English and Spanish at Special Education meetings
    • Interpret with no additions or omissions following technical information, legally mandated educational requirements and Special Education terminology.
    • Maintain de integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district
    • Handle three-way Hotline interpretations between school staff and parents while maintaining daily phone activity logs
    • Must be available to work evening, Saturday, and short notice meetings.
    • Render clear and exact translations of written materials following guidelines.
    • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
    • Pursue continued development of skills and knowledge.
    • Be an actively contributing team member and support the District mission.
    • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

    • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency); or equivalent experience: Bachelor's degree or some college hours preferred.
    • Two years of experience as translator/interpreter with knowledge of ARD/FIE procedures in a school setting, preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish, oral and written
    • Demonstrate strong written and oral language skills in Spanish and English including proofreading with keen attention to detail.
    • Experience with use of google docs, Word, PDFs.
