Job Description

At Atlas, we're providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive, and if you’re a Transmission and Distribution Market Leader ready to diversify and grow a sustainable revenue stream and committed to doing meaningful work, then this is your moment. You’ll build a team of professionals focused on this market through new hires to supplement our existing bench. Join a dynamic, value-driven, client- and community-focused environment where your work creates a lasting positive impact for the people and communities we serve.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and implementing a go-to-market strategy for expanding our transmission and distribution capabilities nationally and across client sectors.
  • Meet Year 1 sales targets.
    • Identify and win $3-5M in viable opportunities across the energy markets.
  • Identify and recruit strategic hires with a focus on geographic and technical expertise to reflect emerging market needs as well as client relationships.
  • Identify and manage strategic teaming partnerships to capture additional market share.
  • Work with internal client facing teams to identify opportunities to move away from single service selling by combining more full project life cycle offerings (early to late-stage development engineering and environmental, remediation, compliance, etc.).
  • Foster seller/doer culture in portfolio to maximize revenue potential of existing MSAs and identify new client MSAs to pursue and grow sales pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver monthly forecasts with 90% accuracy.
  • Develop a sustainable sales pipeline of both near-term book/burn opportunities as well as larger multi-year revenue generating opportunities to support staff workload balancing.
  • Collaborate with operations, technical, and business development teams to align resources and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support staff development and mentoring to increase sales acumen of client facing team.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Represent the firm in industry forums, client engagements, and strategic pursuits.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong background in energy markets.
  • Proven track record of business development and revenue growth in a leadership role.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary pursuits and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Maintain approximately 30% billability. Expected to serve as client facing PM on select projects.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time.

The team you'll work with at Atlas

You’ll join a collaborative, growth-minded nationally led strategic team that values flexibility, creativity, and shared success. The Atlas remediation and environmental professionals you’ll work alongside are problem-solvers who take pride in delivering thoughtful, practical solutions for complex challenges.

Our team is built around:

  • Flexibility and trust, empowering leaders and practitioners to work in ways that best serve clients, communities, and personal well-being.
  • Creative thinking, where new ideas, innovative approaches, and diverse perspectives are encouraged and supported.
  • A growth mindset, with colleagues who are eager to learn, adapt, and continuously improve—both individually and as a team.
  • A culture of mutual success, where leaders actively invest in mentoring, collaboration, and removing barriers so everyone can perform at their best.

You’ll be surrounded by professionals who want you—and each other—to succeed, and who believe that strong teams are built through transparency, accountability, and shared wins.
