Transmission Technical Training Specialist

How You’ll Contribute:

• Design, deliver, and manage customized technical training programs covering industrial mechanical systems, and equipment operation ensuring strict alignment with environmental and safety standards.
• Instruct a diverse audience across varying skill levels and group sizes, utilizing a blended learning approach that combines classroom theory with hands-on, practical exercises.
• Evaluate instructional materials continuously to maintain high engagement and address evolving organizational needs.
• Provide expert demonstrations on equipment installation, operational procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Manage vendor partnerships including equipment staging coordination, enforcing compliance and safety and environmental protocols, and analyzing vendor evaluations for continuous program improvement.
• Adhere to environmental and safety management system guidelines alongside industry regulatory standards to ensure a compliant training environment.

How You’re Qualified:

• Nine or more years of experience in utility industry mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, safety training, environmental training or compliance including providing guidance, leadership or formal/informal instruction to staff, or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, health and safety, education or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver's license
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license or equivalent from another state required for incumbents with heavy equipment operation and transportation responsibilities.

How You’ll Stand Out:

• Proven knowledge of the electric utility industry.
• Outstanding knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment and systems.
• Expertise in process control systems, electrical circuit theory, power plant, and transmission systems operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment operations.
• Familiarity with NERC, ERCOT, OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and TCEQ rules and regulations.
• Understanding of instructional development and adult learning principles.
