Location: Kearney, NE
Pay: $18.00+/hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are hiring a skilled and motivated Transmission Technician to join a growing automotive team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding both manual and automatic transmissions. Key Responsibilities

• 
  Diagnose transmission and driveline issues using diagnostic tools
  
• 
  Remove and reinstall manual and automatic transmissions
  
• 
  Disassemble, inspect, rebuild and repair transmission systems
  
• 
  Repair or replace components such as seals, gaskets, solenoids and valve bodies
  
• 
  Perform transmission fluid services and preventative maintenance
  
• 
  Read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
  
• 
  Use diagnostic scanners and specialty tools to complete repairs
  
• 
  Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  

Qualifications

• 
  Transmission experience preferred
  
• 
  Strong understanding of manual and automatic transmission systems
  
• 
  General automotive repair experience
  
• 
  Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  
• 
  Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  
• 
  Dependable with strong attendance
  
• 
  Basic hand tools preferred
  

Physical Requirements

• 
  Ability to lift 50+ pounds including overhead lifting
  
• 
  Ability to work in a physically demanding shop environment
