Job Description
Faculty Positions Available: Physician-Scientists

Our organization is actively seeking to fill faculty roles at various ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) for Physician-Scientists, including leadership positions within our team.

We are in search of dynamic faculty members who are eager to establish an academic and laboratory-based translational research program, collaborating closely with our established basic, translational, and clinical scientists.

Successful applicants will primarily focus on research within a dedicated laboratory space, supported by a substantial startup package. Additionally, they will be expected to engage in translating laboratory findings into clinical applications, as well as participating in collaborative research related to blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.

Our medical center and children's hospital serve as active sites for numerous solid organ transplants, offering various collaborative opportunities in transplant immunology and regenerative medicine for both adults and children.

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, mentoring, and supportive environment, particularly for recent fellows and junior faculty members.

Teaching duties will include supervising graduate students, research and clinical fellows, residents, and mid-level providers during laboratory, outpatient, and inpatient activities.

Research Focus

The TCT/Hematologic Malignancies Division is dedicated to the advancement and application of innovative cell-based and immune therapies, including CAR-T, NK, vaccine, and gene therapies, as well as cell and vector engineering. Our focus also encompasses transplant immunology and both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Candidates may choose to concentrate on specific hematological diseases based on their interests.

This research is supported by core facilities, laboratory space, the Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit, a newly established cGMP and TCT laboratory, a fully characterized tumor sample repository, and a state-of-the-art Medical Center and Children's Hospital that opened in 2021, all situated on the Medical School campus. Our TCT program is fully FACT accredited for adult autologous and allogeneic BMT and immune effector cell therapy, offering various FDA-approved and experimental CAR-T therapies, among others.

Founded in 1905, our institution is the primary academic medical center in the Inland Empire of Southern California, specializing in Transplant and Cell Therapy.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an MD (or equivalent), have completed fellowships in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, and preferably hold a TCT fellowship (or equivalent experience). Candidates should also be board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Medical Oncology; or have completed fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology, along with a TCT fellowship (or equivalent experience), and be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, or Immunology.

Compensation and Benefits

A comprehensive salary and benefits package will be provided, with academic appointments reflecting experience and qualifications. Administrative and research support, including staff and resources, will also be available.

Our campus is conveniently located within driving distance of Los Angeles, beach cities, and San Diego.
