We are the UK's leading market specialist in our industry, operating across the country. Despite our scale, we maintain a close-knit, supportive culture, meaning when the business thrives, our team directly reaps the rewards through bonus schemes. You'll sit at the heart of our Southwest depot operations. Your core focus will be keeping our fleet, drivers, and equipment logistics running seamlessly, compliant, and ready for action. This opportunity can take your career to new heights, and progression and development are not just possible, but encouraged. There's a reason this company has a low turnover of staff- your first job here is just the beginning! Key Responsibilities
FORS & Operator License Compliance: Manage tachograph reporting, conduct driver license checks, and schedule 6-monthly eyesight checks to maintain peak compliance standards.
Vehicle & Trailer Scheduling: Coordinate MOT bookings, routine servicing, and VOR (Vehicle Off Road) records alongside the workshop foreman to prevent downtime.
Fleet Documentation: Keep digital and physical vehicle files up to date (V5s, MOTs, defect reports) and update the Operator Licensing Self-Service system.
Driver Training & Safety: Track driver FORS training requirements, schedule refresher courses, and manage driver toolbox talk sign-offs for EHSQ records.
Inventory & Fleet Tracking: Monitor hire equipment stock levels, release schedules, and return dates while maintaining regular CRM, email, and telephone contact with internal teams and clients.
What We Are Looking For
Logistics or Haulage Admin Experience: Prior experience in transport, HGV, or haulage operations (e.g., similar to DHL or fleet depots) is ideal, though transferable admin skills are welcome.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: Exceptional attention to detail with strong MS Excel and CRM skills to manage fleet compliance records accurately.
Communication & Problem-Solving: Comfortable handling frequent phone and email queries with a practical, step-by-step approach to daily operational puzzles.
Team Player with Flexibility: A proactive, reliable attitude to support the Transport Manager in a fast-paced environment.
