Job Description
Transport Administrator - Early morning shift: 3am to 11am.
Shifts: Monday to Friday.
Pay per hour: £15
We have a new role working with a National distribution company in Reading.
Overall responsibilities:
- To support the safe, efficient, and on-time execution of daily transport operations.
- Ensuring all driver activity is dispatched, tracked, and recorded in line with site and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily driver start-up and route dispatch.
- Maintain accurate updates on TMS (departures, delays, completions).
- Act as point of contact for drivers, resolving queries and escalating issues.
- Monitor delivery progress and highlight risks to service.
- Ensure completion of all transport paperwork and compliance checks.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse, and transport team.
Requirements
- Good attention to detail and organisation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic transport knowledge (desirable).
