Transportation Airport Security Officer: Patrol Responder

As a Transportation Airport Security Officer: Patrol Responder  in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic airport location serving the government sector, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that values integrity and innovation.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and credential-controlled locations while following established post orders and reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
• Support public-facing operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with crowd management, queue observation, and/or other security-related duties associated with a transportation location.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
