*** Manager Comments on Role:

As a Specialist, Billing on the 4PL Warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing tied to warehouse operations. This includes reviewing and validating invoices related to fulfillment activities—such as storage, handling, value-added services, and outbound shipments—while proactively identifying discrepancies, resolving billing issues, and supporting timely invoicing to customers.

What your day-to-day will look like:
• Partner closely with warehouse operations teams, AP/AR, and customers to resolve open billing tasks and ensure alignment on services rendered
• Review warehouse activity data (inbound, outbound, storage, and value-added services) to validate billing accuracy and prevent duplicate or missed charges
• Proactively identify and resolve billing discrepancies, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and minimal customer impact
• Act as a liaison between operations, finance, and customer teams to remove barriers preventing orders and services from being billed accurately
• Drive a customer-first mindset by ensuring billing reflects agreed pricing, service levels, and contractual requirements
• Develop a working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), billing tools, and internal technologies that support 4PL operations
• Coordinate with transportation partners and internal teams to obtain required documentation supporting end-to-end warehouse and fulfillment billing
• Continuously evaluate and improve billing workflows to reduce cycle time—from warehouse execution to client invoicing—and enhance process efficiency

What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
1 year of experience in warehouse operations, billing, audit, accounts receivable/payable, or logistics coordination
It’d be great if you also have:
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Transportation/Logistics (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working in warehouse or fulfillment environments, with exposure to WMS platforms (e.g., Logiwa or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to operational and financial detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and insights to operations, finance, and customer stakeholders
