Transportation Clerk-3rd Shift

Position Summary:

Audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Liaison for internal customer support.

Schedule :

Thursday- Monday 8:00pm- 6:00am (until work is completed)

Pay :

$21.47/hr

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and distribution of route books, daily interface with drivers, assist with driver coverage of vacation and overflow freight
• Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
• Ability to respond to emails, calls, etc.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
• Supporting: 52 Drivers with 5 other associates

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Intermediate/ computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
• Supporting: 52 Drivers with 5 other associates

This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
