The Transportation Clerk is a classified position on a 210-day calendar, providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and clerical support for the Transportation Department. Core responsibilities include managing fleet vehicle data and T-2 reports, maintaining department databases, scheduling and calculating costs for field trips, and handling general office operations such as inventory, filing, and updating department forms. The role serves as a primary communication huboperating multi-line phones and two-way radio dispatch, addressing driver, parent, and community inquiries, and assisting staff with system log-ins and software. Additional duties include tracking student behavior records, publishing employee newsletters, updating policy handbooks, and driving bus routes as needed (if CDL certified).
Pay:
Starting pay is $19.81 per hour and can go up to 24.16 per hour pending experience.
Benefits:
The Board pays 90% of the Health premium, 95% of the Dental premium, and 60% of the Vision premium. The Board contributes $2,000 to your HSA annually if you choose a family plan. The Board contributes $1,100 to your HSA annually if you choose a single plan.
