Arconic is currently in search of Supply Chain Transportation Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Department based in Alcoa, TN.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal customers and external carriers to safely and efficiently schedule and coordinate a variety of inbound and outbound shipments within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will also be responsible for securing and scheduling all carrier/transportation modes each day across a broad carrier base. The incumbent will be responsible for tactical, logistics, planning activities.

High School Diploma
Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not valid for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred, but not required
2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in a similar function in a logistics or distribution company
1+ year experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge is SAP, Oracle, or other inventory management system
Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems, i.e., E2Open
Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks as assigned
