Job Summary:
We are seeking an on-site Transportation Dispatch Associate in Itasca, IL. In this role. you will coordinate domestic and international shipping operations, track shipment performance, and ensure full regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor, track, and trace all inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments; immediately escalate transit exceptions to vendors or gateways.
- Vendor & Driver Performance: Evaluate driver and vendor on-time performance; escalate service failures internally for resolution.
- Compliance & Documentation: Manage all related TSA/IAC compliance documents and vendor accountability paperwork.
- Fleet & Safety: Oversee fleet compliance and documentation. Lead investigations into any workplace accidents, collecting necessary documentation, photos, and video footage.
- Cross-Department Support: Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Accounts Payable to assist with invoice approvals, PODs, and general logistics inquiries.
- Operational Guidance: Provide direction to internal departments on the correct preparation, documentation, and packaging of shipments.
