Description

As a Drainage Engineer-In-Training you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Work as part of the drainage team under the direction of Senior Hydraulics Engineers to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for transportation projects.
- Use a variety of modeling software and tools to analyze and design drainage systems including storm drains, culverts, ditches, and water quality and stormwater management facilities.
- Use CADD to prepare plans and digital files for bidding and construction.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to provide the best value and service to our clients.
- Your work will include design, calculations, and plan development.
- Apply and adhere to industry and client standards.
- Take ownership of and complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in civil engineering.
- Passed FE exam.
- 0-4 years of experience in storm water design and plan preparation for transportation projects.
- Municipal and/or state DOT experience preferred.
- OpenRoads Designer experience preferred.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.
- Desire to progress personally and professionally.
- Motivated to work hard to learn new skills.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with different staff members.
- Apply effective time management skills.
