Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)is currently seeking two Transportation Engineers to join the Project Engineering Office in Port Orchard. These positions support the delivery of highway construction projects by ensuring work is designed and built in accordance with standard specifications, contract requirements, and approved plans. The roles contribute to the development of transportation improvements through the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and other project documentation that support the safety, quality, and capacity of the state’s transportation system. In addition, these positions provide construction phase support by inspecting contract work, reviewing and processing submittals for compliance, and maintaining accurate, complete, and detailed project and accounting records to support effective project administration and tracking.
