The incumbent assists with AWP-P and Office Engineer data management, prepares and publishes relevant guidelines, automates and maintains custom reports, provides support to users, investigates and resolves software issues, and coordinates with Office Engineer staff on functionality related to business processes. Responds to Ebid related contractor bidder inquiries and contractor questions.Minimum Requirements TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER (CIVIL)Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. For all other ranges, a PE license is not required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications will disqualify candidates from the hiring process. The SOQ must summarize your knowledge and experience in the items listed below, be typed single-spaced in 12-point font, and be no longer than two pages in length. Resumes do not take the place of the SOQ.Knowledge of estimating tools like BEES or AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction.Give an example of how you demonstrated initiative and task ownership in your role.Project delivery experience, including the ability to prepare project plans, specifications, and estimates. Knowledge of standard bid item lists and the use of non-standard items.Knowledge of excel and database management. Ability to understand XML codes or any other computer programming language.Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
