Our client is seeking a Transportation Engineer to play a key role within their growing Carolinas transportation design team. This position focuses on leading roadway design and plan development efforts for North Carolina transportation projects, with an emphasis on corridor modeling and NCDOT standards. The role is based in Raleigh or Charlotte, with opportunities to support projects across multiple offices as needed.
Job Responsibilities -
- Lead and supervise roadway design and plan development for transportation projects
- Perform corridor modeling and oversee geometric roadway design
- Produce NCDOT-compliant plans and calculate construction quantities
- Coordinate and review TMP, drainage, pavement marking, and signing plans
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Support project management tasks, including schedules and design coordination
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies
