Position InformationJob Title: Transportation Engineer V – Plan Review Team Lead (2601492).Location: Dallas District Headquarters, 4777 East Highway 80, Mesquite, TX 75150.Salary: $92,600 – $156,612 per year (B28).Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8 hours per day. Shift: Day. Onsite.Travel: Yes, approximately 5% of the time.Work‑Location Flexibility: On‑site.Role SummaryLead the Plan Review Team within the Dallas District Project Delivery Office (PDO). Manage a team responsible for reviewing plan sets during milestone submittals and prior to construction letting, ensuring completeness and accuracy of plans for major mobility projects. Coordinate with design and Area Office personnel and maintain certifications, plan documents, and supporting materials.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the plan review team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.Review and process plans, specifications, and estimates for major mobility projects.Ensure all certifications, plans, and supporting documents are complete and compliant before letting.Coordinate with multiple offices, including design and Area Office personnel, to align project development processes.Perform advanced engineering design work and problem definition.Execute other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science (or higher degree accepted by TX PELS).Experience: Minimum 8 years of engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience. Full‑time or prorated part‑time experience may be considered. Graduate‑level education may substitute for experience on a year‑per‑year basis.Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license. Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
