HDR has an opportunity for a Transportation Engineer to work with a team of professionals in planning, designing, and supporting construction of interstates and highways, urban streets and intersections, and pedestrian/bicycle projects that make a difference in our communities. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Highways and Roads team on projects serving clients in Northern California and beyond. The position requires leading the technical design of transportation projects to support our clients while meeting the fundamental obligation to prioritize the safety, health, and welfare of the public. The position may oversee staff and is tasked with providing guidance to junior engineers and drafters during development of design. The position includes preparation of plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimation for projects of various sizes and complexities, and may also assume some project management responsibilities and client interaction.
