Drawing from their industry expertise and legacy of community impact, their talented and passionate team has helped build a portfolio of some of the highest profile private and public developments across the DMV.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with team members on a diverse blend of projects with an emphasis on design and technical documentation. You will collaborate with a team to prepare construction plans for a variety of transportation improvements from initial concept through construction administration. Key responsibilities include:Assisting in the development of engineering solutions for multi‑modal transportation projects through the application of Local, State & Federal design standards and regulations.Designing and creating technical drawings in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Carlson design software.Communicating across a multidisciplinary design team.Participating in transportation association networking events, classes, trainings, and seminars.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering (or equivalent) curriculum at an ABET‑accredited universityStrong oral and written communication skillsEnthusiasm for team collaborationExperience in MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferredWHAT WE OFFER J2 is committed to investing in our people and supporting long‑term career growth.
