Job ResponsibilitiesAssists with contracts in support of transportation infrastructure to include creating the contract document, reviewing and revising contract documents, administering the contract, inspection of the deliverables, reviewing and approving invoices, and verification of procedures to ensure contract compliance. Performs field inspection of roadways, transportation structures, and related transportation projects for design purposes. Prepares and reviews technical reports. Prepares and reviews new or renewed solicitations. Conducts field studies or surveys to collect technical data for roadways, transportation structures, and related transportation infrastructure. Works during snow and ice or inclement weather to provide support to the office operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum and Additional RequirementsA high school diploma and two (2) years of progressively responsible engineering technician related experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.Physical DemandsThe physical demands for the essential functions involve frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May require occasional exposure to noise.
