Overview:
Assist the Director of Nursing with the planning, coordination, and detailed organization of resident transportation for scheduled appointments and facility activities. Help review and monitor sign up sheets to ensure all resident requests are accounted for and scheduled appropriately.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLE:
- Assisting coordinator with trip planning and details
- Assisting residents with transfers and ambulation as necessary.
- Loading and unloading residents in and out of vehicles.
- Driving to and from specific destinations.
- Maintaining current Medical Card.
- Maintaining a flexible schedule so as to be able to meet needs of residents to include limited weekends, nights and holidays. Also requires flexibility when bus trips may be canceled to include alternate tasks for down time.
- Maintaining the vehicle with sufficient fuel to assure safe trips.
- On-going communication to the Director of Operations of vehicle problems (i.e. noises, warning lights, etc.)
- Keeping the interior and exterior of the bus clean.
- Attending appropriate life enrichment meetings as assigned by Director of of Life Enrichment.
- Maintaining ongoing communication in evaluation of trips and communicating needs and issue of residents involved.
- Performing alternate tasks when scheduled time is not occupied by bus duties. Also assistance with other Life Enrichment Department functions as needed.
- Assuring a safe work environment for self and others.
- Attending an annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know information and fire and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Hampshire Drivers License.
- Have ‘Medical Examiner’s Certificate’ renewed every 2 years.
- Prior experience working in a residential community, preferably with seniors, a plus
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
- Excellent networking skills
- High school education or higher.
- Excellent clerical and computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
