About the Role:
Join SuYash Consulting, LLC as a Transportation / Highway Project Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in shaping efficient and innovative transportation solutions. Be part of a dynamic team in Columbia, MD, dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering services that enhance mobility and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze highway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project development.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation or highway engineering projects.
- Proficient in engineering software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous work experience with AASHTO standards and MDOT SHA projects a plus.
- Experience with project management and client relations.
- Commitment to safety and sustainability in engineering practices.
