Transportation Management Specialist

Job Title

Job Description Required Education • BA/BS degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Or the equivalent of 4+ years of experience in a related area (preferably in a manufacturing environment).

Required Skills • Advanced (5+ years) Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Advanced (5+ years) proven problem-solving skills. • 3+ years of experience conducting predictive analytics or statistical risk analysis. • 3+ years of transportation scheduling experience. • 3+ years of proven oral and written communication skills through business application. • Ability to create and utilize escalation processes. • Ability to establish individual performance targets and provide documented quarterly reviews. • Ability to recommend operational efficiency improvements (team collaboration, visual management, best practices, etc.). • Ability to maintain process standardization across all shifts.

Job Description (Key Duties & Responsibilities) • Serve as the primary point of contact for the transportation service provider to ensure all KPIs are met. • Perform and document monthly and quarterly evaluations of the provider's performance. • Report provider non-conformances in a structured manner. • Define and utilize an escalation process for repetitive issues, including identified countermeasures. • Provide recommendations to help the provider improve operational efficiencies. • Actively collaborate with the provider and other process partners impacted by their processes. • Ensure process standardization is maintained on all shifts through revisions and communications. • Establish individual performance targets for providers and provide documented quarterly performance reviews. • Perform other duties as assigned.
