About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, route planning, driver coordination, fleet maintenance, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring efficient deliveries, operational excellence, and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation operations and delivery schedules
• Plan and coordinate weekly delivery routes
• Handle driver call-offs and operational issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and food safety regulations
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet performance
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve efficiency
• Monitor KPIs and implement operational improvements
• Lead, train, and support transportation team members
• Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives
• Analyze operational performance and recommend process improvements
• Participate in bi-weekly meetings with company leadership
• Remain available for early morning operational communication when needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation, logistics, or operations management experience
• CDL Class A or driving experience preferred
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Experience with routing/logistics software
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and warehouse operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
