Description
The Migrations Manager is responsible for managing the migration process for school districts and bus contractors moving from Tyler's legacy Versatrans transportation software solution to the new cloud-based Student Transportation software solution.
Responsibilities
Project Strategy & Planning: Developing end-to-end migration roadmaps, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for internal partners and clients to communicate progress and manage expectations.
Execution & Technical Oversight: Leading the migration processes and using tools like Monday.com to oversee the migration activities (GIS, Implementation) of each migration until they are fully operational and transitioned to support.
Risk & Issue Mitigation: Identifying potential roadblocks, such as data inconsistencies or performance throttling, and implementing solutions.
Quality Assurance: Conducting pre-migration assessments and post-migration validation to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
Collaborate with department managers to develop, improve processes, and communicate and escalate issues.
Track, plan and report progress of migrations.
Organize and conduct regular internal progress migration status meetings.
Demonstrate excellent leadership, partnering, communication, and organization skills.
Operate with a sense of urgency to provide feedback and ensure client success.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 or more years of software implementation experience with K12 industry
Management experience leading direct reports
Strong project management skills with expertise in managing complex software projects are essential.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
Experience with data mapping to focus on strategies to prevent errors during migrations
