Our Client, a Manufacturing company, is looking for a Transportation Planner for their Fort Mill, SC location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily transportation planning activities, including scheduling, tracking, and tracing shipments from regional distribution centers to customers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage and tender shipments across multiple modes, including Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), and intermodal, while optimizing service and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business units and external transportation carriers to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Monitor transportation costs for each movement, ensuring adherence to budget targets, while proactively engaging carriers to maintain high service levels and reliability.
  • Analyze and report on transportation performance, including cost and tender metrics, through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for planning and execution
  • 2+ years of relevant professional Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
