Transportation Position School Bus Driver

Job Description:

Ashford School is seeking applicants for the position of school vehicle driver. We are a rural supportive district independent from the larger bus companies. If you are looking for a small supportive environment, Ashford is it. Applicants should hold a valid CT CDL drivers license. Those with current school bus and STV endorsements highly preferred. DOT medical certification must be obtained prior to employment, along with drug and alcohol screening. Fingerprinting, DCF background checks are also required for this position. Exact hours are unknown at the time of posting, but are not expected to exceed 6.25 hours per day. Opportunities for additional hours exist. Starting wage is $28.61 per hour, benefits per current MEUI Local 506 collective bargaining agreement. Benefits include: State Health plan, Life Insurance, and a tax sheltered annuity plan.
