Transportation Project Manager (PE) – Georgia
Impact Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation design projects across Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys managing projects from concept through construction. The role is based in Augusta, GA, but can be a hybrid position with occasional office visits (1-2x a month).
Position Overview
As a Transportation Project Manager, you will lead a design team while overseeing all aspects of project delivery — from pursuing new opportunities and preparing proposals to ensuring on-time and on-budget execution. This role blends technical expertise, team leadership, client relationship management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Senior Technical Advisor and Subject Matter Expert

  • Identify new markets and maintain strong client relationships

  • Prepare proposals, qualification statements, estimates, and presentations

  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets

  • Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate team workloads

  • Oversee design reviews and provide progress reporting

  • Manage bidding and construction phase coordination

  • Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards

  • Mentor and guide technical staff

  • Maintain organized project documentation and close out projects properly
Qualifications

  • 8+ years of engineering design consulting experience

  • 3–5 years of project management experience

  • BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in GA (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical software

  • Valid driver’s license
