The individual will act as a liaison between customers and mechanics.
Responsible for scheduling vehicles within the fleet and coordinating transportation-related activities. For example – A driver is coming to purchase a vehicle – This individual will document driver’s information, create bills/PO, make sure vehicle is in appropriate condition, hand over the keys to the driver and conduct check in -check out for vehicle.
Looking for a scheduler/Dispatcher/CSR for certain vehicles that they have on fleet. They don’t need a core Dispatcher.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatching and scheduling vehicles.
Communicating information received from clients to mechanics.
Managing vehicle check-in and check-out procedures.
Documenting driver information and vehicle assignments.
Handing over and receiving vehicle keys.
Ensuring vehicles are in good condition before checkout.
Basic billing activities.
Purchase Order (PO) tracking.
Data entry and data documentation.
Administrative coordination tasks.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Good decision-making abilities.
Ability to provide examples of decision-making during interviews.
Experience with DOT regulations.
Dispatching experience.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS). No software preferred.
Strong administrative and documentation skills.
Good personality and customer-facing skills.
Preferred Background:
Transportation industry experience.
General experience in transportation coordination.
Rental agent background is highly preferred.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Primarily computer-based role.
Interaction with drivers arriving at the facility.
Responsible for assisting drivers with vehicle check-in and check-out processes.
