Amazon"s Cross Border Execution (XBE) Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in resolving stakeholder issues related to daily freight movements into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and associated fulfillment network. This exciting opportunity allows you to join a new team in a significant growth area for Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Continual, tactical communication with external stakeholders (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal stakeholders (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Ability to extract data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Publish performance metrics to assist in driving business results
  • Identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in Amazon"s transportation operations
  • Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Systematically escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and teams, and follow through on resolutions to ensure delivery
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create a narrative outlining weekly findings, variances to goals, and present these findings in review forums
