MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience: Minimum two years’ recent experience in an administrative or similar position, preferably in a transportation organization, human service agency, military service or in a closely related field or equivalent required.
Education: Minimum two years AA degree (prefer bachelor’s degree) in business administration, management study, transportation management, public administration, or closely related field or from an accredited college or university or equivalent required or two years’ experience in transportation or military service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Ability to obtain expert knowledge or all of MOVE’s internal programs.
2. Responsible for implementing all of MOVE’s internal program as assigned.
3. Complete Special Projects.
4. Responsible for the routing and scheduling of drivers.
5. Responsible for customizing and reprioritizing routes constantly for efficiency.
6. Responsible for meeting the needs of participants.
7. Must be able to adjust to client requests and cancelations.
8. Ability to use all software platforms implemented within MOVE’s operations.
9. Assist in developing future business endeavors.
10. Research laws, rules, procedures, and assist in application and contract process for new business endeavors.
11. Scheduling maintenance for MOVE’s vehicles, charging and arranging detailing scheduling.
12. Dispatch drivers and coordinate trips to fulfill participants’ needs.
13. Supports drivers by being a backup driver as needed.
14. Coordinate implementation of portable charger infrastructure.
15. Provides high level of customer service by returning calls within 24 hours
16. Responsible for logging all calls for program.
17. Uphold Company policies for safety.
18. Complete mandatory training and practice internal policies.
19. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY
As expected, there a times when staff are unavailable to perform work due to illness, paid leave or vacation, impacting operations, requiring securing staffing coverage to drive program participants to their destinations, coordinate, and schedule rides for Care Cruiser and VetsVans program, participate in public outreach activities, support Bridges and Pass program services or to fulfill commitments to special projects. It is anticipated at times, MOVE will be fully staff, where the Transportation Specialist will be required to charge vehicles, coordinate maintenance work, detailing and any other operations needs. The Transportations Specialist will be required to assess current systems and processes and engage in task facilitating implementation of special projects, to increase current service capacity and to develop new business endeavors. The Transportations Specialist will be required to gain expertise in software solutions implemented by MOVE and flexibility to learn and effectively implement all task connected with MOVE’s operations. Ideally, the Transportation Specialist is a driver of change, innovation, and actively supports MOVE’s strategic plans and goals to decrease operations cost and increase the reach of services. This position is required to work on weekends and weekday hours that are aligned with participant’s needs.
